Here I am begging your pardon again after being away from blogland.
Life has been in a bit of a tailspin the past few weeks.
Family members sick ,some in the hospital ,work, life and so forth .
To top that off this past Monday I slipped and hit my head on the edge of the tub .
One emergency room visit and 18 stitches later I have been put on mandatory rest .
It's not like I don't need the rest, but gosh there are so many things to do for parents, family, work etc...
Yes I have come to the realization that if you don't rest you may find yourself
lying down in green pastures ,counting ceiling tiles, and many other truly boring activities .
For now I have made the choice to obey Doc's orders and get some much needed rest .
Please be patient with me as I slowly return to blogland .
Feel free to leave comments ,I don't do resting or boredom very well
so your comments are most wlecomed .
Many blessings to you all .
Happy Trails
Look On The Sunny Side
By:
Helen Steiner Rice
There are always two sides,
the good and the bad.
The dark and the light,
the sad and the glad.
But in looking back over
the good and the bad.
We're aware of the number
of good things we've had.
And in counting our blessings
we find when we're through
We've no reason at all
to complain or be blue,
So thank God for good things
He has already done,
And be grateful to Him
for the battles you've won,
And know that the same God
who helped you before
Is ready and willing
to help you once more.
Then with faith in your heart
reach out for God's hand
And accept what He sends,
though you can't understand,
For our Father in heaven
always knows what is best,
And if you trust in His wisdom
your life will be blessed,
For always remember
that whatever betide you
You are never alone
for God is beside you .

I love Helen S. Rice. She has some great poems and thoughts.
Gosh you have had to have stitches - you do need to be careful - caretakers need some care taking too.
We'll be here!

So love HSR! & sooo glad to see you coming back. You've been sorely missed my friend. Hope your family is getting back in health & you take good care of yourself.
Hope your Christmas was filled with joy & blessings & your New Year will be less full of needs.

Terry, you MUST be good and rest. You are doing so much to care for others, and then kaboom, the fall. You deserve some R&R, and come back to us when you are healed up.
Oh sweetie ... You really DO need a break! Even my doctor told me to get away from caretaking duties once in a while or I would end up with another stroke or heart attack!
A famous preacher once paraphrased a Bible verse that stuck with me ...
He said "Come ye apart and rest a while ... or ye will indeed come apart!"
You are in my thoughts and prayers, dear friend. Take it easy, and use this time to reconnect with YOU.
It has always been said the good Lord never puts more on us than we can bear, but looks like he is really trying to get your attention. Maybe this his way saying you need to slow down and rest or you will be no good to anyone. My, I hate to hear this. Trust you will soon feel better and that your family will be taking care by others for awhile. Hang in my friend.
Do take care!!
I hope you feel better soon. But do rest, it really helps you mend faster.
Ouch! Ouch! Ouch! Having also fallen once in the tub I know the painful result and feel great sympathy for you. Take care of yourself please because we need your uplifting posts.
Hope you feel better soon!
Praying you feel better really soon. Hugs & blessings, Cindy
