Success

Success is a lofty mountain peak,
Some scale it without a stop,
But those that reach it often find
It's lonely at the top.

The trees thin out and the bird songs cease
As you leave old friends below
And the world gets colder and farther off
The higher up you go.

So whistle a tune if Lady Luck
Isn't waiting around the bend...
Take joy in the simple things of life...
They last much longer,friend.

I don't think I want to be on the top. Cold and lonely? No thanks. I'll stick right here - lost in the foothills!
