Thanksgiving Thoughts

O pilgrim Father of long ago,
Forgive me as I did not know
Your desire to bring Christ to this land,
Tis why you brought your little band
Of Pilgrims here to start a nation,
Can you see us now:
This vast creation?



O Pilgrim Mother , I won't forget
To tell the children who don't know yet,
Of your love and labor to bring
forth fruit,
America under God :
His word as the root .
